Thoughts on 9/11

My parents' generation celebrated V-E and V-J days, not Pearl Harbor.

We need to smash these sumbitches once and for all.

Exactly. When the whole "What sorta memorial are we gonna build?" nonsense began my reaction was "What? First, win the war then build the freaking memorials"

    1. No, 'fraid not.

Growing up in the 50s, I remember Pearl Harbor Day being observed.

Maybe it was different in Cleveland.

  2. Felt so sad when the people doing the 9/11 clean-up were referred to as "hero's". Yes, they should have been celebrated for their efforts, and many have died early from diseases contacted cleaning up the mess around the Twin Towers (not to mention the mental toll on them picking up pieces of human bodies).

The real hero's are the people now stamping out ISIS, soon to concentrate on Al-Qaeda. The media doesn't talk about them.

Maybe if Condoleezza Rice and George W. Bush had heeded the warnings of terrorists plans to fly planes into buildings by Mr. Clarke working in their State Department, we would have had silent hero's and thousands of Americans would be alive and with their families today.

Note that the NeoCon's, liberals, and media were outraged at the January raid in Yemen in which a Navy Seal was killed. And they were irate when President Trump honored the man's widow at his pseudo State of the Union address earlier this year. Many made fun of her, others called her disgusting for allowing herself to "be used". Yet the intelligence gathered in that raid revealed that terrorists were working on disguising bombs in laptop computers. Shortly thereafter both the US and our European allies prohibited passengers from bringing laptops on board flights. As usual, the anti-Trumper's were all upset about that. But guess what - there have been no bombings of allied planes via laptops. U.S. Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William "Ryan" Owens is a true hero, as are the men that fought with him during the raid on Al Qaeda in Yemen!

    1. More Libertarian/Leftie false flag drivel.

Fact is, the intel was so vague, no one could tell when or where it might happen.

Of course, if Anon's good ol' boy, Willie, had taken bin Laden when he was offered on a silver plate, it might not have happened, either.

  3. My heart is grieved over seeing flags at half-staff all day today. I wanted to raise them all to their full height. We've been at war for the past 16 years, and you don't keep mourning the battles you lose. You win the war.

    1. Even though Governor Justice ordered state flags to fly at half-staff today, my flag was two-blocked. - Elric

  4. Your parents' generation included Americans in high office and positions of power who were not embarrassed to say they were Americans.

  5. After Pearl Harbor we went after Germany not the nation that attacked us. Once we had our friends secure we turned our FULL attention to the bastards who stabbed us.
Here is my point, when are we going to do something about the real villain behind all this? SA?

  6. Exactly Jeremy. Instead of taking down Iraq and Afghanistan we should have gone after the two biggest sponsors of Islamic Terrorism: Saudi Arabia and Iran. Unfortunately, the Saudis own too many DC politicians including the Bush family. GOC
