Illegal calls 911, ICE provides it

A man living in Tukwila, Washington, called the police to report an attempted break-in of his home. The caller wound up in custody as he was Wilson Rodriguez, 32, an illegal alien from Honduras whom Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been looking for these last 10 years.

KING-TV in Seattle interviewed one of his friends, who said, "I know he has a failure to appear in court, and I know that he has the 30-day visa violation, both of those are from 10 years ago when he first came to the country. What is upsetting to me is that Wilson called for help cause someone was breaking into this house, and he ends up being arrested and detained by Immigration and Customs."

We live in a nation where lawbreakers are hailed, and the police have to explain themselves.

Seriously.

The Tukwila Police Department issued a statement.

"We do not inquire about the nationality or immigration status of suspects, victims, witnesses or others. In the incident that you inquired about, officers did a routine database check of names of the involved parties which is standard procedure when we investigate any potential crime or incident," the statement said.

"One of the involved parties was found to have a warrant that had been entered into the NCIC database which was issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As with any warrant, we confirmed that the warrant was valid with the issuing authority. Once it was confirmed, that individual was transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Had there been no warrant, we would not have been aware of this individual's nationality or immigration status.

"We respond to all crimes the same regardless of the reporting party's nationality or immigration status. We are not aware of their status at any time unless they specifically mention it to us on their own or as in this case, they have a warrant issued by a federal immigration authority which has been entered into the NCIC database."

So the police in Washington state are to afraid to ask about a person's citizenship status. The Evergreen State is well on its way to the Third World status California seeks.

The perpetrator did not show up for court or ever bother to square things with the government.

But he did marry and father three children.

He called to report an illegal entry into his house -- which may end his own illegal entry into our country.

From Leslie Eastman's review at Legal Insurrection:
Surber, a recovering journalist with over 30 years of experience, has been cataloging the #FakeNews that has been regularly offered as serious analysis of President Donald Trump’s actions, policies, and opinions. He has brought his enormous collection together in the longest, most serious book he has yet written: Fake News Follies 2017.
"Fake News Follies of 2017" is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Autographed copies are available. Email me at DonSurber@GMail.com for details. I am including a "director's cut." I'll email you back the original Chapter 1 that I cut because while the chapter was amusing, it really had nothing to do with the "Fake News Follies of 2017."

Ben Garrison did the cover and I am so happy with it. I told him what the book was about, sent him a copy of the manuscript, and he came up with a perfect cover. I am so pleased.

  1. They may be sanctuary cities/counties/states but if the local PDs ignore a federal warrant they'll be in big trouble with the DOJ and they know it.

    1. Yep, when you run someone via Nlets and the state version, the reason for running and agency requesting is logged as well as the result.

If a nationwide warrant for someone is ignored, the originating agency will eventually know and then may attempt to see why.

  2. His marriage will be his anchor. He will get an immigration lawyer, will do some community service and get to stay. There needs to be an automatic check when people apply for marriage licenses. So many people are here because of fake marriages, too. There needs to be some kind of crackdown on immigration lawyers who counsel people involved in these. They are abetting criminal activity.

  4. There used to be this quaint idea that if you break the law, you should feel uncomfortable. It is called guilt. It tends to nudge people whose moral compass can wander toward doing the right thing.

    1. Illegal aliens have no conscience, no sense of shame or guilt. They came here deliberately breaking our laws. Most off them seem to think they are entitled to all the protections and benefits of being a U.S. citizen. Root them out and send them back. If they have a family here, too bad. Let them pay to move their family back with them to wherever they came from. - Elric

  6. About the only recourse "We, The People" have left to defend ourselves from invasion is OSTRACIZATION..... Those of you who are legitimate Americans in good standing.......... 'Ostracize' the lying, cheating, thieving illegal alien invaders AND their traitorous advocates and proponents when you know they ARE illegal or they will do it to YOU soon......... They already HAVE in California. "We, The People" are being made SECOND RATE CITIZENS in our OWN country.... If you don't believe it now, just give it a little more time and THE FACT of it will convince you as YOU are being deported from your own country..... Our government ISN'T PROTECTING US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. There's something that is rarely, if ever, discussed in the immigration dialog insanity. My wife was called up for jury duty several weeks ago. During the selection (from a pool of about 100 in a county that has about 5K people) she heard a summary of the case. Basically, extremely violent hispanic on hispanic rape of a 12 year old girl. I asked her if either party was under a green card ag visa or were illegals, and she couldn't say. One thing was clear--it was horrendous to the entire jury pool as evidenced by the hand to the mouth gestures of the Southern Belles. When asked, very few potential jurors stated that they could give the defendant a fair trial. Because the entire family gets called up regularly in such a small sleepy county, I can say that it's the most common type of litigation.

The point is that their immigration status opens them up to extremely high levels of crime from members of their own community. Those illegals then become extorted for their silence. Rape, theft, drugs...you name it. That violence, by consequence, drifts outward to areas outside the Barrio.

There is absolutely no sane argument for "sanctuary." The hispanics, especially, are loath for them to be here. The only rationale that is becoming increasingly obvious from the DACA/DAPA nonsense is that is serves as a Marxist voter drive.

  10. Do you suppose he know understands the meaning of "illegal"?

  11. "Wilson," if that is his real first name, came to the US and overstayed his visa as an adult of 22 y/o. He is not one of the young DACA children brought here by his parents. Even if his wife is a natural born American, the fact that he broke the law should disqualify him from getting permanent residency for the next 10 years. Send him back home.

  12. The story doesn't say, but I imagine the attempted break-in was probably another illegal alien trying to furnish his own nest; just our luck that he tried to break in to a household just like his!
