Proof the North Korean nuke program is dead

I contend that the collapse of tunnels in Mount Mantap last September gutted North Korea's nuclear program. That was where the work was done. That was where the scientists were.

Either an earthquake or sabotage likely caused this.

Whatever happened, President Trump knows, Kim Jong Un knows, and the South Koreans know.

These are not peace talks. These are terms of surrender. I would call it Kabuki theatre, but the Koreans hate the Japanese (with good reason).

Here is today's proof.

"North Korea said Saturday that it will dismantle its nuclear test site in less than two weeks, in a dramatic event that would set up leader Kim Jong Un’s summit with President Donald Trump next month," the Associated Press reported.

"In a statement carried by state media, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said that all of the tunnels at the country’s northeastern testing ground will be destroyed by explosion, and that observation and research facilities and ground-based guard units will also be removed."

The story also said, "Seoul, which shuttled between Washington and Pyongyang to set up the Trump-Kim meeting, has said Kim has genuine interest in dealing away his nuclear weapons in return for economic benefits. However, there are lingering doubts about whether Kim would ever agree to fully relinquish the weapons he likely views as his only guarantee of survival."

Baloney. North Korea is not doing this because it wants U.S. investment. North Korea is doing this because it no longer has a nuke program.

Let us consider the facts. The Pyongyang regime has for decades pursued becoming a nuclear power, turning down investments and starving its people in order to attain this goal.

We are supposed to believe that upon achieving nuclear capabilities, as well as developing intercontinental ballistic missiles, North Korea has had a sudden change of heart because it wants investments and food?

Regardless of what readers make think of Kim Jong Un's mental state, he is a logical man who makes rational decisions. Do not confuse his reign of terror for madness. It is the opposite. The devil is cold-hearted and cunning.

"Kim declared his nuclear force as complete in December, following North Korea’s most powerful nuclear test to date in September and three flight tests of ICBMs designed to reach the U.S. mainland," the Associated Press reported.

However, the news service said nothing about the tunnel collapse.

When did the AP become a news service? Last I knew it was a channel for Democrat talking points or, as they're more commonly known, lies.

  2. I'm guessing that the Chinese told Kim that the party is over. And I'm guessing that Trump is the reason that the Chinese told him that.

    1. That, and the fact radioactive debris is now wafting over Northern China.

The same could be said of the mullahs, who appear to be making a lot of wild "Khaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!"-like threats these days.

  5. I guess even Juche needs a little help now and then.

  6. Not to be a dissenting voice... But if this is just the test site... We set off bombs in the Nevada desert, we didn't build them there. If they are satisfied with a bomb design they needn't test anymore, just build. Where is their Pantex plant, their Rocky Flats, their Hanford, their Sandia, their Oak Ridge, their Savannah River?

Was it all in one basket in that damned mountain?

    Do we know?

    1. These are good questions. The US hasn't tested a bomb for decades, using super computer simulatiion instead. He needs money to pay off his army and stay safe but he also has to make his army feel safe. The bombs do that for him, nothing else, and they are cheap compared to men. Trump will have a lot of work to do.

    2. Thanks! I will say though that if bigguggly below is correct, and they have suffered critical human losses ie their atomic braintrust, it may be necessary to discontinue or at least idle/safe the rest of the nuclear infrastructure. Which seems abundant. According to this link, he's got nuclear infrastructure all over the place: http://www.nti.org/gmap/nuclear_north_korea.html?/

KJU was born on third base. PDJT may be the first world leader to explain to him that no, he didn't hit a triple, that his side has been retired, and that the '27 Yankees are coming to bat. It's not impossible, in other words, that Kim wants peace, or at least wants out.

The West and ROK actually need only two things from DPRK: end the nuclear program, and pull out all those (10,000?) presighted-on-Seoul artillery tubes. Really, then, he can macerate his own people all he likes. However, that's a mug's game, as they cannot self-sustain with Juche. So ultimately he will have to open up.

It really looks different this time. Let us pray.

  7. Thank you Don for introducing me to Thomas Wictor on twitter. The man has a lot to say about what's going on in North Korea and the middle east. As he tells it Kim Jong Un has been freed from the true rulers of the country: the Korean People's Army. A good number of the high ranking officials were in that tunnel collapse. Commandos in all likelihood took out the rest.

    1. He draws interesting word pictures, but also thinks the GCC has developed and used technical and human military capabilities that I'm not sure we have, let alone people who have to import Western techs to do anything important.

  8. I have believed from the day I heard about the collapse that many if not most of NK's scientists were lost in that collapse.

Whether the damage was the result of an explosion by NK, or a "Rod From God", the result is the same.

Just an opinion, but one that makes sense to me.

  9. NeverTrumpers and other Democrats believe that Trump is unqualified and incompetent. The only explanation they have for recent events is that Trump is incredibly lucky.

Scott Adams referred to this as the "Lucky Hitler" hypothesis way back in 2015.

    1. Pseudo-Repub David Brooks grudgingly says *maybe*, just *maybe* Trump is better in situations where dealing with thugs is in order. As compared to people with a big SAT test score.

Who here wants to bet Obama or Brooks has test scores higher than Trump?
Not me. These guys just make stuff up.

  10. Here’s my theory: The Lucky Charms Leprechaun did it.

We better not send em any money like we did for those turdbirds in Iran. Let Kia and Hyundai start getting them on the right track.

  11. There's a new report out (not yet on Dem media), that N. Koreans in Iran have been pulled out and are going back. My guess is that Kim is ready to be "bribed" by benefits to stop nuclearization.
